As per a statement obtained by SenatePress.net, the funds are part of Governor Brian Kemp's strategy to enhance Georgia's transportation facilities, utilizing some of the $1.5 billion surplus slated for the state's infrastructure improvements.
"This funding will be transformative for the Paulding Northwest Atlanta Regional Airport, enhancing accessibility and supporting our community’s growth,” Sen. Anavitarte said in the release. The project aims to seriously facilitate better access to the airport and comes with a price tag of $1,333,333, with the state contributing $1,000,000 and local authorities expected to come up with the remaining $333,333.
