A tragic incident unfolded in Sun City West on Tuesday night, where a man succumbed to injuries after being rescued from a burning garage. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies were dispatched shortly after 9 p.m. to a home near Loop 303 and El Mirage Road, following a call about a house fire, as detailed by ABC15.
Upon their arrival, the deputies found the garage of the house to be fully in flames. Amidst battling the blaze, it was discovered that a man was still trapped inside. Firefighters acted quickly to pull the man out and transported him to the hospital. Despite their efforts to save his life, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office confirmed that the man had tragically passed away from his sustained injuries. Investigations into the fire's origin are ongoing.
Concurrently, information from AZFamily indicates that the fire incident took place in the area of Rico Drive and Black Gold Lane. Responders were also informed that someone was still present inside the garage when they arrived at the scene. The man they found was suffering from severe burns at the time.
