The child was the subject of a frantic search initiated after her father was found deceased, and she did not return home following a custody agreement. The Fremont Police Chief, Sean Washington, expressed deep sorrow about the outcomes of the case, "Our department is saddened to learn Ellie has not survived. Our hearts are heavy for Ellie’s family, and we will continue to support them during this difficult time."
