Two individuals were hospitalized following a shooting incident in the Castalia Heights area, near the corner store adorned with a mural of the late rapper Young Dolph, as Action News 5 reported. Memphis Police Department received a call at 8:23 p.m. Thursday, directing them to Community Grocery on the intersection of Boyle Avenue and Castalia Street, where the first victim, a man with critical injuries, was discovered.
The second victim managed to get to a fire station on Lamar Avenue bearing noncritical injuries, thus both victims are currently receiving care at Regional One Hospital, according to Local Memphis the victims were injured after a shooting in Castalia Heights on Thursday night and the Memphis Police Department responded to the incident around 8:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Boyle Ave.
As the investigation unfolds, details remain sparse with no suspect information having been publicized at this time, as per FOX13 Memphis, which reported that "Two people were injured after a shooting in Castalia, police said."
