
Tragedy has once again struck Chicago's South Side, where two fatal shootings occurred in separate incidents on Tuesday night. According to CBS News Chicago, the first victim, an unidentified man believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, was shot in the South Shore neighborhood. He was discovered by Chicago police in the 2100 block of East 71st Street shortly after 9 p.m. and later pronounced dead at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
The night's violence continued as another young man, Trumaine Hatchett, 18, suffered multiple gunshot wounds in an Auburn Gresham residence, the Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed these dreadful details, his life abruptly ended before midnight in the 8500 block of South Parnell Avenue, as reported by Chicago Sun-Times.
No suspect was arrested. The investigation is still ongoing, as per CBS News.
