Tragedy was narrowly avoided in Polkton Township on Sunday afternoon as two young girls suffered serious harm in an ATV rollover crash. According to the WZZM 13 report, the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office dispatched crews around 2:10 p.m. to the scene at 7574 Wilson Street following the accident. A 12-year-old girl from Grand Rapids, the driver of the ATV, allegedly turned the vehicle too swiftly, leading it to flip and roll over onto her and the 11-year-old passenger from Indianapolis.

Both girls were urgently taken to the hospital immediately after the incident.
