In the rigorous evaluation of more than 4,500 hospitals, the U.S. News & World Report measured performance across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions, where UC San Diego Health notched national recognition in 11 medical and surgical specialties. These included top-50 rankings in high-stakes fields such as Pulmonology & Lung Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology, among others. Moreover, the health system was rated high performing in 18 additional procedures and conditions, outstripping any other hospital system in the San Diego area.
