
Community members and Chicago police are spreading the word in the hope of locating 13-year-old Jamyia Milligan, who has been reported missing from the Grand Crossing community in Chicago, Illinois. According to the Chicago Police Department, Jamyia was last seen on July 25, 2024.
Jamyia is described as a Black female, 5′ 02″ in height, weighing 230 lbs, with brown eyes and black and blue braids. During her last contact, she was dressed in a red shirt, black legging pants, and gray slide sandals, and she may be carrying a burgundy book bag. The details of her disappearance, including where exactly she was last seen or the circumstances under which she went missing, have not been disclosed by the authorities.
The Chicago Police Department is urging anyone who may have information about Jamyia's whereabouts to come forward. The young girl is known to frequent several areas, including the 800 block of E. 79th St., the 1300 block of E. 79th St., and the 1200 block of West 76th St. in Chicago. The police have provided a contact number for their Area One SVU Detectives at 312-747-8380 and remind the public that in cases of immediate concern, calling 911 is the appropriate course of action.
