
A tragic occurrence rocked the city of Vancouver on Monday when a man sitting under a tree was fatally struck by a vehicle. According to KOIN, the incident happened in the 2100 block of NE Andresen Road shortly after 1 p.m., where the man was found deceased upon the officers' arrival.
In a swift response to the incident, Vancouver police detained a woman after a search in the area. Walking the dog, the officers were led by a K9 to track down a woman who matched the description given by witnesses. She has been identified by police as Luella Robertson, as per details acquired by KPTV.
Evidence gathered at the scene, including surveillance footage, showed a woman in "distinctive clothing" departing from the vicinity of the crime. An unoccupied vehicle, believed to be the one involved in the accident, was found nearby by officers. The information sourced from KGW, notes that Luella F. Roberson, possibly a misspelling of Robertson, was subsequently placed under arrest and faces a charge of vehicular homicide and an outstanding warrant from the Washington State Department of Corrections.
