According to Local Memphis, the Memphis Police Department responded just after 2 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the 3900 block of Bald Eagle Drive. On arrival, officers discovered a woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. The police have yet to release the identity of the woman as an investigation actively continues to unfold.
The neighborhood, known to hold the sounds of family life and the normalcy of suburban routine, quickly became acquainted with the flashing lights of police cruisers and crime scene tape. Action News 5 reports that multiple individuals were seen being placed in the back of squad cars, although it remains unclear if any arrests have been made or what the motives behind the shooting could be.
