Mark your calendars for a day of fitness and philanthropy on December 7, as the 31st Annual Ride & Run With The Stars event gears up to bring together the community in support of local children and families in need. The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office has championed this cause since 1993, transforming the holiday season for countless families through generosity and camaraderie.
Participants in the Ride & Run With The Stars will congregate at Fort De Soto Park, enjoying a variety of events ranging from a certified 5K road race, to cycling, and walking. According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, early bird registration has kicked off and will be available until November 1. Fees for the races, which include a 10K Family Bike Ride, a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk/Skate, or a 25-Mile Bike Ride sit at $40, whereas the 5K Chipped race goes for $45, the registration comes with perks such as a long-sleeve dry-fit shirt, food, and giveaways.
The proceeds from Ride & Run With The Stars play a pivotal role in the Pinellas County Sheriff's Christmas Sharing Project. In the previous year, this project made a considerable impact by providing gifts, food, and clothing to support 229 families and 604 children. Interested individuals are encouraged to participate, contribute, or just spread the word to keep this tradition of compassion and active engagement thriving.
