Nearly 30 years after the unsolved murder of Neil Wilson in Hayward, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office is renewing efforts to find answers. Wilson, then 31, was fatally shot on West Sunset Boulevard near Royal Avenue in 1995. Despite an ongoing investigation, the case remains unresolved, with few details available other than the sound of an argument and a gunshot heard just after midnight on August 21.
The sheriff's office has turned to social media to seek public assistance, sharing details from that night, including the sighting of a small hatchback speeding away from the scene. To encourage tips, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office has set up an Anonymous Tip Line, assuring confidentiality for those holding crucial information.
