Antioch Man Suspected of Dual Burglaries Arrested in Walnut Creek Following Citizen AlertSource: Walnut Creek Police Department

The Walnut Creek Police Department reported that on Tuesday, around 11:00 a.m., they were alerted to a suspicious individual encroaching onto the private property of a resident in the 1100 block of Flowerwood Pl. Officers dispatched to the scene encountered Joshua Spaincue, a 34-year-old Antioch man, found barricaded within the confines of someone else's home.

According to Walnut Creek Police Department's social media post, officers rolled out the full force of the law, and Spaincue was subsequently arrested. Connections were made to an additional burglary, thence linking him to a separate crime on the 800 block of Bancroft Rd, this sequence of events led to his detainment under the suspicion of first-degree burglary and commercial burglary.

Upon further investigation, WCPD detectives carefully pieced together the case and presented it to the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office, which responded by slapping Spaincue with two counts of burglary. Observers are now watching as the machinations of the justice system creak into motion, with Spaincue sat behind iron bars, his liberty stripped away, and a bail amounting to a hefty $250,000.
