An arrest has been made in a case involving an adult male and a minor child at Crown Beach. Last Tuesday, the Investigations Unit received a report of alleged sexual relations between the two parties, although initially, the details regarding the suspect were scarce. With the assistance of law enforcement partners, the suspect's identity was determined, and within 51 hours of the initial report, a warrant was obtained, and the suspect was arrested without incident, as reported by the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department.
The diligence of the Investigations Unit played a crucial role in the rapid apprehension of the suspect. According to the East Bay Regional Park District Police Department, "The Investigations Unit worked tirelessly to identify the suspect". Following the arrest, the suspect was taken to the Police Headquarters for questioning and subsequently booked at Santa Rita Jail.
The case then moved to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office, where multiple felonies were charged.
