Residents of Ramona woke to news of an unsettling robbery that took place earlier this month, now seeing a flicker of resolution with the recent arrest of two suspects. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a robbery call on August 10 at the Stars gas station on Main Street. It was revealed that employees were assaulted, and items were taken from the establishment during the incident.
Fast forward to the pre-dawn hours of yesterday, deputies made a move to serve a search warrant at a home on San Vicente Road, arresting Jahziel Hayes and a 16-year-old male for their alleged involvement in the crime. Straying items related to the robbery were recovered in the home, alongside two ghost guns.
Hayes, whose date of birth is listed as March 3, 2006, is now facing charges of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and the possession of an illegal firearm. He's been booked into the San Diego Central Jail. Meanwhile, the unidentified juvenile has been booked into Juvenile Hall for similar charges.
