A Baltimore County man was apprehended by state police after a reported road rage incident that included the display of a firearm in Anne Arundel County. Sources indicate that the individual, 24-year-old Jayden Spurlin from Baltimore, Maryland, now faces charges encompassing felony assault and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, as reported by the Maryland State Police.
The series of events that led to this arrest began unfolding when a road user reached out to the Maryland State Police Annapolis Barrack on August 28th, claiming that a motorist had pointed a gun at them on southbound I-97, just past Route 50. According to the official report, the alleged culprit was driving a black Audi sedan. Investigators traced the vehicle back to Spurlin and promptly served search warrants that yielded a loaded handgun at his residence and in the vehicle.
Spurlin was subsequently arrested and taken to the Maryland State Police Annapolis Barrack for processing, following which the Anne Arundel County Office of the State’s Attorney got involved to formally charge the suspect. Notably, Spurlin was released on an unsecured bond after his initial court appearance.
