Tensions ran high in Baltimore Wednesday as police responded to a barricade situation in the 1700 block of Harlem Ave. The Baltimore Police Department took to social media, alerting residents of several street closures and advising those in the vicinity to remain indoors.

Authorities have not yet divulged the nature of the barricade, nor the circumstances that led to the deployment of the SWAT team. Access to the area was restricted, with traffic being diverted to avoid interference with law enforcement activities.
The Baltimore Police have been contacted for comment, however, at the time of writing, no additional information has been forthcoming.
