On July 16, a maroon Honda CRV driven by a juvenile female struck an adult male bicyclist crossing S. Bascom Avenue at Camden Avenue against a red light, as confirmed by the San Jose Police Department's report.
At the scene, the driver of the CRV remained and cooperated with the authorities. Despite the initial effort to save the bicyclist's life, he was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later stabilized. Still, after weeks of fighting for his life, his battle ended last Thursday at approximately 7:03 PM, sadly succumbing to his injuries and adding to the statistics as the city grapples with traffic fatalities.
