In Boston, over 3,000 students received backpacks with school supplies and new winter coats at a back-to-school event at TD Garden. This was made possible by a collaboration between the Boston Police Department, the Salvation Army, TD Garden, and the City of Boston.
Police Commissioner Cox, officers, and BPD Academy recruits volunteered alongside partners to help prepare each child for the school year. It was a strong community effort focused on supporting Boston’s youth.
"Our volunteers joined our partners in helping more than 3,000 students get geared up and ready for the new school year," the Boston Police Department shared, emphasizing the collective approach to supporting education. "Every child left with a smile, a backpack full of supplies, and a new winter coat."
