On August 10, Erick Cameron, age 33, was taken into custody by Chicago police in connection with a shooting that severely wounded a 34-year-old man.
The alleged incident took place in the 7300 block of S. Halsted Street, in the city's 7th District. Cameron, who hails from the 5600 block of S. Throop, is facing multiple felony charges, including an attempt of first-degree murder and armed violence with the discharge of a weapon, as reported by the Chicago Police Department.
A detention hearing has been scheduled for August 13, at the courthouse located at 2600 S. California. No further information has been released at this time, and representatives of the Chicago Police Department have not provided additional details on the case or the condition of the victim.
