Las Vegas foodies have something to celebrate, as a familiar favorite sets its sights on a new location. The beloved local hotspot, China Mama, renowned for its authentic Chinese fare, is branching out to Palace Station, ready to take over the space previously occupied by Boathouse Asian Eatery. Station Casinos released a statement proclaiming the anticipated launch in fall for their latest China Mama branch.
Boathouse Asian Eatery fans can enjoy their favorite dishes at Palace Station until September 1. According to KSNV, as Station Casino bids the restaurant adieu and welcomes a new culinary chapter, employees laid off by the closure can apply for new positions within the casino empire at StationCasinosJobs.com, offering a silver lining in these challenging times.
China Mama's resurrection comes after the original venue on South Jones Boulevard shuttered due a devastating morning blaze back in March last year. Yet, the brand has shown resilience, quickly bouncing back with a take-out joint, China Mama Express, and a reinstated sit-down location at Shanghai Plaza, sharing a zip code with popular names like ShangHai Taste.
Not content with just a staple dining experience, the group has upped the ante. "Spring by China Mama," an upscale iteration celebrated for tableside-assembled Chinese pancakes, launched back in May on Paradise Road, alongside Ferraro’s Ristorante, further cementing the brand's name in Las Vegas's culinary landscape, as reported by Las Vegas Review-Journal. And in addition of a new China Mama outlet, Palace Station has also recently welcomed family-owned Lindo Michoacan.
