Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg is setting the table for something big in the dining scene as it welcomes Chubby Cattle, a restaurant famed for its all-you-can-eat Wagyu barbecue. Slated to open its doors in early 2025, this will be the restaurant's first venture in Illinois outside of Chicago's Chinatown location, as reported by NBC Chicago.
Expectations are high, as shoppers seek experiences that go beyond traditional shopping, and Woodfield Mall is ready to deliver. "We know our shoppers expect more than a great selection of top-name retail," Woodfield Mall General Manager Chris Speca explained in a statement obtained by The Daily Herald. "They want curated experiences. Bringing one of the most talked-about concepts in the food and beverage industry to Woodfield Mall is a win for the mall, the northwest suburbs, and our visitors from across the region."
The gastronomic draw of Chubby Cattle isn't just about limitless premium meat. The eatery's three-tier menu pairs American and Australian full-blood Wagyu with top-shelf Japanese A5 Wagyu and also offers a wide selection of sushi, shabu-shabu, as well as an assortment of vegetables and fruit.
With the restaurant's strategic location in the lower level dining pavilion wing, near entrance 5 and across from Asha SalonSpa, visitors will be able to dive into Chubby Cattle's lavish spread without the hassle of a long commute. Conveniently positioned, the restaurant joins the ranks of Chubby Cattle's "rapid nationwide expansion" which includes locations in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Denver, as detailed by NBC Chicago.
