The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released the 2024 - 2025 Continuum of Care (CoC) funding opportunity, as announced in a recent statement from Clackamas County. This federal initiative is geared towards assisting local communities in their efforts to transition individuals and families out of homelessness and into sustainable, permanent housing.

As part of the procedure to distribute these funds, Clackamas County has opened its local competition, accepting applications until the cutoff date of September 9th at 11:59 P.M., including essential components such as the ESNAPS application and corresponding survey responses, these applications will go through a rigorous review process which involves scoring through score cards enhanced this year by the addition of narrative survey responses, all aiming to provide a robust foundation for project selection and approval, which eventually will be conducted by the Clackamas County Housing Services Steering Committee.

Interested organizations can approach Raina Smith-Roller at [email protected] to acquire the surveys necessary for their application scorecard narratives. The CoC funding encompasses a variety of project types, like Rapid Rehousing (RRH), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), and Supportive Services only. Expansion of existing programs, consolidation of similar projects, and transitions to new program types over the course of a year are some of the new grant opportunities available this cycle.
