The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office is actively seeking information from the public to aid in their investigation of a shooting incident that happened on the evening of July 30. In their call for tips, they've released forensic sketches and a photo of the suspected vehicle tied to the non-injury shooting that took place near the Green Line MAX platform, adjacent to the JC Penney on SE 82nd Ave in unincorporated Clackamas County, as reported by the Sheriff's Office News Release.
According to the Sheriff's Office, it was shortly before 9:30 p.m. when two men found themselves to be potential victims as a thin white male in his early 20s brandished a pistol and proceeded to shoot approximately 20 yards in their direction. Witnesses described the suspect as having curly hair, a gray hoodie, gray pants, and black shoes. Surprisingly, the two men targeted were reported to not have known the suspect.
The investigation details that after the shooting, the suspect quickly made his way back to an awaiting older-model black 2-door Cadillac sedan, which then sped off southbound, presumably towards SE Sunnyside Road, as detailed by the Clackamas County Sheriff's office. This vehicle was noted to be occupied by two heavyset African-American individuals. The Sheriff's Office has made a forensic sketch of the shooter available to the public to assist in identifying the individual responsible for this senseless act.
