The Clarksville Police Department is actively seeking a suspect linked to the August 8 robbery at the Speedway Cafe, located at 320 Providence Boulevard. As reported by WSMV, the man demanded money while sporting a gray Colorado Rockies shirt, gray shorts, a gray hat, and sunglasses.
According to the victim's testimony, the suspect was armed with a firearm that was hooked securely on his hip, yet was never brandished. In a move to widely reach out to the community for information, the CPD has released surveillance images of the suspect, showcasing his distinct chinstrap beard and tattoos above both his wrists, potentially adding to a tattoo on his left calf.
Clarksville Now highlights that after the successful robbery, the man left the scene on foot with an unspecified amount of cash. The authorities have requested that anyone with additional footage or details regarding the suspect aid them in their investigation by reaching out to Detective Johnson at the designated contact number.
While the police urge the public to quickly come forward, they assure that tipsters have the option to stay anonymous and are still eligible to receive a cash reward if their information proves pivotal to the case. This incentive is extended through the Clarksville Montgomery County Crime Stoppers Tipsline, as Fox 17 News reported, aiming to encourage witnesses or anyone with relevant knowledge to step forward.
