Visitors of Secret Lake Park who are looking to spend some time at the Kiwanis Pavilion or indulge in some fishing off the pier might need to adjust their plans in the coming weeks. The familiar parking lot and drop-off area on the park's south side won't be an option for the time being, owing to a construction project in the vicinity. Anyone looking to access these areas will have to seek alternative parking arrangements until the site reopens, according to the city's press release.
The closure is expected to last until October 7. It's a bit of an inconvenience for park regulars and first-time visitors alike, who are now required to find new spots to park their vehicles before they can enjoy the pavilion or cast their lines into the water. However, the city has assured that the temporary disruption is for the sake of improvements that will benefit everyone in the long run.
