If you require a stress management reboot on a late summer evening, The Landing at Minnesota River Heritage Park may have just the elixir. On September 13, from 6 to 7 PM, a free Soma Yoga session led by certified instructor Sofia Silva aims to guide attendees through the nuances of the mind-body connection, as reported by Scott County.
Soma Yoga, which focuses on internal awareness and somatic techniques, can be a gateway to understanding the deeper layers of our bodily tensions, and reactions. Silva, bilingual in English and Spanish, will incorporate elements of mindfulness and guided relaxation into what's being billed as an integrative experience. According to Scott County's announcement, the session promises to weave in small movements and breathing that participants can take home and into their daily routines.
The session is beginner-friendly. Adjustments and modifications mean it's open to all levels and abilities. As practical advice, don't forget a yoga mat or a towel for your comfort on the grass, as per Scott County. It's open to those aged 14 and above.
