Dr. Anthony Fauci, widely recognized for his leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic and his service as chief medical advisor to multiple presidents, is slated to headline the 33rd annual Book Festival at the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta this November. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Fauci's book, "On Call: A Doctor’s Journey in Public Service," which details his experiences and became a New York Times #1 bestseller, will be in the spotlight when he speaks at the event on November 3.
Additional names set to grace the event include Emily Giffin, author of "The Summer Pact: A Novel," and John Quinones & Maria Elena Salinas, who will present their collaborative work "One Year in Uvalde: A Story of Hope and Resilience," as per information provided by FOX 5 Atlanta. Michael Richards, an actor and comedian known for his role on "Seinfeld," will also be among the authors sharing their new books, providing a diverse mix of genres and topics for attendees.
From November 2 to November 17, the celebrated literary gathering will convene at the MJCCA's premises at 5342 Tilly Mill Road, Dunwoody, GA. As reported by Axios Atlanta, Cherie Aviv, the event co-chair, described the festival as a "true celebration of storytelling," promising that it will be an opportunity for engagement with a variety of voices, reflecting on everything from life in Israel to influential New York women and the nuances of consumer culture.
The festival is also expected to see contributions from personalities like Mitch Albom, whose bestseller "Tuesdays with Morrie" has touched many, and journalist Amir Tibon, who will delve into geopolitical tensions in "The Gates of Gaza: A Story of Betrial, Survival, and Hope in Israel’s Borderlands." The lineup further includes culinary insights from Joan Nathan, whose books on food intertwine with culture and family. These appearances underscore the festival’s reputation as the largest of its kind in the Southeast, as evidenced in coverage by Axios Atlanta.
