An intensive search ensued, but the shooter was not immediately located. In a rapid twist of events, Dublin authorities identified 38-year-old Nicholas Paleveda as the culprit. The Dublin Police, through their social media, stated a homicide arrest warrant was obtained, and Paleveda was subsequently arrested without incident in a Walmart parking lot in Barstow the following day. The details of how Paleveda and the victim were connected and a possible motive are still being pieced together by detectives.
The case remains active and ongoing, with Dublin Police urging anyone with information or who witnessed the event to come forward. They can be reached at (925) 833-6670.
