
The El Paso Police Department has arrested Charles Edward McVey, a resident of Fort Bliss, on charges of animal abandonment, drawing attention to a concerning trend of neglect within the military community. According to KVIA, McVey was taken into custody after allegedly leaving his dog in a parking lot on the 3000 block of N. Zaragoza Road, with no apparent attempt to retrieve the animal.
Following his arrest, McVey was booked at the El Paso County Detention Facility, with a bond set at $2,500, as reported by KFOX14. This incident adds to the troubling cases of abandonment faced by dogs, known for their loyalty and affection.
