A deadly fire enshrouded an apartment in Studio City resulting in one fatality. The incident, which rattled residents of 4258 North Colfax Avenue, was first called in at 09:23 PM, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).
The LAFD's fast response led to a swift extinguishing of the blaze by 36 firefighters in just under 17 minutes, as per the LAFD.
Upon completion of their strategic firefighting efforts, the responders carried out a thorough search of the building. During their examination, "firefighters conducted a search in the unit and located a deceased person," the LAFD statement said. The cause of death and the identification of the individual remain unsubstantiated but are under investigation.
