A tragic multi-vehicle collision on Route 6 in Brewster claimed the life of one person and left another with serious injuries. According to Massachusetts State Police, the crash happened around 3:15 p.m. East of Exit 85 on the eastbound side. The incident involved a 2020 Isuzu truck that veered into the opposing traffic lane, colliding with a 2006 Toyota Tundra and subsequently a 1997 GMC Safari.
The operator of the Toyota Tundra, identified as 57-year-old Edward Footer from Chatham, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His vehicle was struck after the Isuzu, driven by a 24-year-old man from Yarmouth, inexplicably crossed over into the eastbound lane. The operator of the Isuzu was quickly transported to a nearby hospital to receive care for inflicted serious injuries. The man behind the wheel of the GMC, a 40-year-old Yarmouth resident, was reported to not have been injured in the collision.

Furthermore, detectives from the Cape and Island’s State Police Detective Unit are contributing to the inquiry. They continue to appeal to the public for any witnesses to come forward, to maybe, offer a piece of the truth that led to this fatal moment.
