A head-on crash on a narrow, tree-lined stretch of Farmersville Road in Sandwich has left one driver dead and three others hospitalized. Sandwich Police responded to the scene near 87 Farmersville Road, between Boardley Road and Southpoint Drive, at approximately 8:50 p.m. Sunday, where a westbound 2011 Toyota Prius struck an eastbound 2017 Toyota RAV4.
Rescuers performed CPR on the Prius driver at the scene before Sandwich Fire Department personnel rushed him to Cape Cod Hospital in critical condition, according to Hyannis News. He later died from his injuries. As reported by WHDH, three occupants of the RAV4 were also taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
