A recent police operation in DeKalb County resulted in the arrest of five individuals on drug and weapons charges. The DeKalb County Police Department conducted the raid on an apartment located at 2110 Flat Shoals Road, which took place this past Wednesday. Inside, officers found a significant amount of illicit substances and firearms, as reported by Atlanta News First.
Among the contraband were 5.5 pounds of marijuana, 93 bottles of promethazine, 15 Alprazolam pills, and 44 cans of nitrous oxide—known to be misused as a recreational drug. The police team also seized two handguns and one rifle through their search, one of which was previously reported stolen in Atlanta. This could potentially add to increasingly add charges for the individuals involved. FOX 5 Atlanta detailed the reports about the weapons and drugs found on the scene.
The five people apprehended during the operation are now facing charges and have been incarcerated at the DeKalb County Jail. The names and specific charges of those arrested have not yet been made public.
