A Murfreesboro man, 71-year-old Oren Oliver, who was the subject of a Silver Alert on Thursday, has been found safe, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported. Earlier on the same day, the alert was issued as Oliver had a medical condition that sparked concerns for his safety and ability to return home without assistance.

Found shortly before 1 p.m. in Murfreesboro, Oliver's well-being prompted a community-wide effort to assist, with the TBI asking for the public's help in locating the man who has gray hair and brown eyes. Following his discovery, the Silver Alert was officially canceled.
During the search, Murfreesboro Police and TBI urged anyone who might have seen Oliver or had knowledge of his whereabouts to get in touch. Authorities had also reported that Oliver might have been traveling in his 2008 gray Ford Ranger, noting the TN plate: 360-BDNZ, and reached out to the public through various channels, including social media. The TBI provided a post on X detailing Oliver's description and a number to call in case he was spotted, which said, "Spot him? Call @MboroPoliceDept at (615) 893-1311 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND!"
