According to the details released by the GBI, the incident occurred on the evening of August 12, Warner Robins Police officers were dispatched to the 200 block of N. Sixth St., following reports of an armed man, arriving, they found themselves in a perilous confrontation with Concepcion, who discharged a firearm both at the officers and into a nearby home and he attempted to gain entrance into the residence by force, necessitating police to return fire which ultimately resulted in Concepcion's injury followed by his death at a local healthcare facility.

The ongoing investigation is set to include an autopsy by the GBI Medical Examiner’s Office to ascertain the circumstances surrounding Concepcion’s death. The final case file will be turned over to the Houston County District Attorney’s Office for a thorough examination once GBI concludes its inquiry.
