The Gilroy Police Department and Gilroy Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection of Gavilan Court and Murray Avenue around 6:45 PM after receiving reports of the accident, as per the Gilroy Police Department.

Despite the efforts of first responders, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the vehicle involved sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital, with conditions ranging from minor to serious.
