
The City of Goodyear has confirmed the outcomes of its 2024 City Council election with Vice Mayor Laura Kaino securing another four-year term, joined by newcomers Benita Beckles and Trey Terry as council members.
As noted by the City of Goodyear released on August 13, the trio emerged victorious in a ballot that took place on July 30, where voters were given the chance to pick up to three candidates to represent their interests in the local government.
The conclusion of this electoral chapter coincides with the departure of long-standing councilmembers Sheri Lauritano and Bill Stipp, both of who are stepping down after over a decade of service, due to the term limits reaching their cap, the elected officials won't take office until January 1, 2025, as per the City of Goodyear.
