
The forthcoming Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort, set to make its debut in Scottsdale, Arizona, has announced a full-scale renovation worth $115 million. Scheduled to open this fall, early October specifically, the update will mark a new chapter for the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch as it becomes the premier Grand Hyatt hotel in the state. In a statement obtained by Phoenix New Times, Lance Marrin, general manager, emphasized that "Grand Hyatt Scottsdale Resort will stand out in the region for its rich amenities, captivating design, incredible new ballroom space and delectable culinary offerings."
The resort renovation is poised to introduce a lineup of attractions and comforts aimed to offer a well-rounded experience for travelers. Among the upgrades are 496 renovated guest rooms, suites, and casitas, along with six new dining concepts headlined by acclaimed chef Richard Blais. Moreover, a 10-acre pool complex has been reimagined with 10 pools, a three-story waterslide, and new cabanas, offering a harmonious blend of relaxation and outdoor excitement. As reported by TravelPress, guests will be able to enjoy an "elevated poolside experience" at this aquatic wonderland featuring a sand beach and a whirlpool spa amidst the desert backdrop. Further enhancing the venue's appeal is the revamp of its Spa Avania.
The resort's ambition reaches beyond leisure and wellness, venturing into hosting and business services with the overhaul of its meeting spaces. Highlighting this aspect, They are renewing the 14,000-square-foot Vaquero Ballroom and an additional 52,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. Lance Marrin told Phoenix New Times "We are creating a destination that will not only reflect the region's rich heritage but will also provide our guests with an immersive, elevated experience that connects them to the illuminating essence of the Sonoran Desert." Scheduled for completion by January 2025, the Arizona Ballroom will undergo a significant expansion to 24,000 square feet.
