A tragic family dispute in Green Township resulted in one death and one critical injury yesterday. The quiet street of Palmhill Lane became the scene of a heinous crime after an argument between a son and his parents escalated into a stabbing. According to FOX19, police identified the deceased as Barbara Mortimer, 74. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim, her husband, aged 75, whose identity was not released, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Responding to the scene around 4 p.m., officers found the couple with stab wounds. Arrested shortly after in Cincinnati, 40-year-old Kenneth Mortimer is now facing charges including murder, attempted murder, and felonious assault. Found in the aftermath, the son was charged after he allegedly stabbed his parents, reported by Local12.
