High-Speed Chase Involving Stolen Jaguar Ends in Crash in Piedmont, Suspects at LargeSource: Piedmont Police Department

Last evening, a routine patrol in Piedmont took an unexpected turn when officers spotted a vehicle with a stolen license plate from Antioch. This sighting led to a high-speed chase involving a white 1990 Jaguar XJS speeding without lights near Park Way and Dracena Avenue. The pursuit escalated and ended in a crash in the front yard of a residence on Monticello Avenue, according to the Piedmont Police Department.

After the crash, the suspects fled on foot, evading capture despite the efforts of the Piedmont Police and extensive searching of the area. They managed to escape by scaling fences in a nearby backyard.

A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded Walther Arms P22 handgun, and it was confirmed that the Jaguar was also stolen from Antioch.
