
In a harrowing incident on the I-880 last Sunday, a motorist who had pulled over onto the right shoulder due to car troubles was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The California Highway Patrol Hayward area office is actively seeking witnesses to the event that left the individual with severe injuries. The collision, which occurred close to the connector of I-880 southbound and I-238 southbound, took place at approximately 11:30 PM, according to a report from CHP.
The force of the collision was such that the victim was left with "major injuries," highlighting the severity of the impact. CHP officials stress the importance of any information the public may hold that could lead to quickly track down the driver responsible for the collision.
