The initiative, which has been unfolding over nearly two years, involves monthly collaborative meetings with bar owners, Broad Ripple Village Association, and IMPD representatives to openly address the area's challenges and construct proactive solutions.

Michael Cranfill, owner of The Quarter and Cholita, equated the substantial efforts made by local businesses and law enforcement to major revitalization, stating, "We just went through a massive open-heart surgery, and we are ready to be back stronger than ever," in a statement obtained by WRTV. This partnership underscores the proactive stance these establishments are taking to break free from the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, extensive street construction, and violent events that have plagued the district's recent history.

Many business owners have faced financial strain due to these factors, with Patrick Sparks of Brick House Dueling Pianos revealing to IBJ a reduction in patronage and the personal financial toll taken to maintain operations. Despite this, communal resilience is evident. IMPD North District Commander Matthew Thomas highlighted the success of IMPD's B-Link camera program and the usage of technology like public safety cameras and license plate readers in improving security measures. "There’s not a day goes by that we can’t pick up the phone and call each other," Thomas told IBJ, pinpointing the enhanced communication as a critical aspect of the safety strategy.
