According to information from a Hoodline report, the conviction for the December 2020 murder also included charges of conspiracy to commit murder, lying in wait, and firearms enhancements. The fateful event took place in the parking lot of a Wells Fargo bank on West Hillsdale Boulevard, where Reupena mistakenly identified Lasi as responsible for the death of his brother, killed in a road rage incident in Los Angeles four months prior. This tragic series of events culminated in the violent end of an artist's life and an irreversible path of destruction for all families involved.
Reupena's alleged accomplice, Amanda Young, age 30 and described as his girlfriend, faces charges linked to the murder. Young and Reupena were connected to the crime scene via surveillance footage that captured a Mercedes-Benz, the vehicle they are believed to have used. Young, apprehended alongside Reupena, has been ordered to stand trial.
