If you've ever had the burning desire to fight fires and save lives, the Lake Havasu City Fire Department (LHCFD) has just the event for you. They're hosting an open house recruitment happening on October 2, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at their Training Facility located at 2065 Kiowa Boulevard North. This open house is designed to be an informative session where prospective firefighters can learn about what it means to be part of the LHCFD. Attendees looking forward to getting to know current firefighters, due to their day-to-day responsibilities being a core part of the discussion, will not be disappointed. In addition, the fire department's training program overview will be explained to those present.
"We are excited to open our doors to the community and showcase the important work that our firefighters do every day," stated Fire Chief Pete Pilafas in a statement obtained by LHCFD's news release. It's an occasion for people to find out what becoming a part of the fire service involves and explore the potential of a career in firefighting.
Alongside meeting the firefighters, attendees will have the opportunity to have all their questions answered about the application and hiring process by the recruitment staff. Those coming in to learn about the application and hiring process, will receive guidance on the qualifications and requirements needed to join the LHCFD firefighter ranks.
