
A tragic incident occurred on August 14 at approximately 11:42 a.m., when officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle traffic collision on the 2300 block of Havasupai Boulevard. Upon arrival, the driver was discovered in an unresponsive state by the responding officers, who then rapidly attempted to administer lifesaving measures, according to a recent statement from the Lake Havasu City Police.
The Lake Havasu City Fire Department quickly arrived to take over medical care and transported the driver to the hospital. Despite the efforts to save the individual, they were later pronounced dead. As of this report, the identity of the driver remains unreleased, adhering to protocol to first notify the next of kin. As specified by a public statement from Sergeant Kyle Ridgway of the Police Department, the Police Department’s Crash Team has opted to thoroughly conduct the ongoing investigation.
As the investigation continues, initial evaluations suggest that alcohol, drugs, or speeding were not factors in the fatal crash.
