In a recent act of generosity, the Lake Havasu City Police Department's Cadet Program was bolstered by a $2,500 donation, courtesy of local business owners Sunny and Sheetal Patel of the Quality Inn. The Patel family's contribution is a clear message about their dedication to supporting the community’s growing youth.

Chief Troy Stirling said, "It has been a pleasure to meet this family and learn of their dedication to creating and maintaining a safe and commendable example for other businesses and business owners to follow. Their willingness to collaborate with law enforcement and their continuous support for our youth program shows their dedication to the well-being of our community." The Police Cadet Program is designed for those who are at least 14 years old, have completed the 8th grade, and are not yet 21. It provides participants with career experiences, leadership opportunities, and the ability to perform community service, all while centered around learning the ropes of law enforcement.
