An 18-year-old from Larkspur, identified as Anthony Cozart, has been arrested in connection with one incident, a shooting that occurred in the early hours of August 4th on the 200 block of Drake Ave. Cozart has been charged with attempted murder after a 10-day manhunt and was booked with bail set at half a million dollars, according to the Marin County Sheriff's Office.
As Hoodline recounts, one victim managed to get private transportation for their injuries while the other, sustaining a head wound, was treated and released. The Sheriff's Office is dedicated to thoroughly investigating these crimes, but they face the challenge of uncooperative witnesses, which complicates the pursuit of justice in these cases.
The first reported shooting victim was critically injured but, after receiving medical attention at Marin Medical Campus, has been released and is recovering at home. While investigations into the recent shootings continue, the Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with information to step forward.
