Addressing assembled members of the media, amid shared concerns from City and County leaders over healthcare access for the underprivileged, City Manager Ikani Taumoepeau laid bare the implications of the breach. Spearheading the notice of breach is the City's legal team, declaring that the crux of the issue lies with the hospital's failure to deliver on both expanded health services for those in fiscal straits and the timely reporting of such services.
"The City would hold itself and its partners accountable to their commitments," Taumoepeau said, as per the City of Las Cruces, reinforcing a common thread between City and County administrators' intentions to ensure those responsible parties are held accountable.
