Bringing the community together with a splash and some sweetness, the Las Cruces Police Department is hosting its Lunchbox Lemonade event's season finale. Set to take place Friday at the Unidad Park Splash Pad, this gathering aims to foster dialogue between law enforcement and residents in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., attendees, including kids have the opportunity to cool off in the splash pad, can mingle with members of the Community Outreach Team. The event encourages Las Cruces citizens to have lunch with the Community Outreach Team at an area splash pad, providing a platform to discuss community affairs and public safety concerns as per the City of Las Cruces.
On the slate for this Friday, Aug. 23, at Unidad Park Splash Pad located at 1501 E. Hadley Ave, the Lunchbox Lemonade initiative has been a seasonal effort to strengthen ties within the community while offering a casual setting for dialogue and enjoyment. Participants are encouraged to bring their sack lunches to the event, but the Police Department, in collaboration with Raising Cane’s restaurant, will be serving up complimentary lemonade and popsicles.
